How much does
your car weigh?
Well, how much does your car weigh? Do you go
outside and weigh your car every morning? Did you choose your car based on how
much it weighs? First, let’s define what your car actually does. A car's
function is defined as: usually four-wheeled automotive vehicle designed for
passenger transportation. When you bought your car some of the features you were
looking for may have been: Price, safety, engine size, transmission, crash test
studies, seating, fuel economy, convenience, comfort, seating and reliability?
Pretty much, all your car does is transport you from point "A" to point "B". So
who cares how much it weighs!
If you had the opportunity to shop for a new
human body, would you shop by price, safety, convenience, comfort and
reliability? Or, would you strictly shop by weight?
Of course not!!! You would want a body
that works and moves the way you want it to. You would want a body that takes
care of itself, and lasts along time without always breaking down. So, with that
said, your body's main function is to transport you from point "A" to point "B".
Why do most people live their
lives based on what the numbers on the scale say?
Take a look at the bigger picture. If you are
basing your successes on your weight, you will NEVER be happy!!
How many people do you know who are happy with their weight? I know people who
are skinny that are very unhealthy. If you live your life from diet to diet, you
will never be successful! If every diet book on your book shelf was the answer,
then why do you keep buying more diet books? The word “diet” means deprivation,
sacrifice and pain.
Let’s look at making a lifestyle change. Base
your success on how you are feeling, your level of energy, overall health and
striving to do your best each day.
The human body is the most amazing creation
ever! Your body regulates most everything without you even thinking about
it. If you’re cold, you shiver. If you’re hot, you sweat. Your heart beats
without you thinking much about it. The ONLY thing your body needs you to
do is feed it!! Most people cannot even do that right. Good thing we do not have
more responsibilities. We would all be dead.
Here is the bottom line. Get off your couch,
do some type of exercise daily. Eat and drink in MODERATION. Stop blaming
everyone else for your problems. You and only you decide how much you exercise
and what you eat. Has anyone ever shoved a fork with cake on it down your
throat? Or threatened to beat you up if you exercised? I am so tired of people
telling me how busy they are. All you need is 20 to 30 minutes of moderate
exercise per day. Keep track of what you’re putting in your mouth. If you are
too busy to do those simple things. You need to prioritize, starting NOW.
When you put yourself last, that is where you will be.
Client of the Month

I'm 18 years old and I never thought I would
need a personal trainer. At least not for some time! I thought, "I'm
young. I don't need to worry about eating healthy or exercising." That
changed in June of 2003 when I decided to enlist in the Marine Corp. I realized
very quickly that I needed to get in shape fast if I'm going to be successful in
Boot Camp. I went to Brian and told him my goals of being the best when I ship
off. He said it was no problem.
I've worked with Brian for about 8 months,
and because of him I feel confident that I could leave for Boot Camp right now
and tear it up. I eat a lot healthier now and I actually enjoy eating food
without the typical four pounds of sugar that teenagers usually consume in one
setting.
There's no other way to describe it - I feel
great! I really enjoy going to see Brian and working out with him. Even when he
makes me do the endless amount of squats. Without Brian's help I know I would
never have gotten this far and felt this good. Thanks Brian!
