Ten Good Reasons to Keep Exercising

I hope everyone is doing well. Things at Functional Conditioning continue to go well. I am very thankful for all the wonderful people that I work with each and every day.  Let me know what I can do to help you get into the best shape of your life!

Ten Good Reasons to Keep Exercising

  1. Regular exercise helps prevent heart disease. It does it by slowing the buildup of plaque in the artery walls. Active people tend to have larger and cleaner arteries.  Aerobic exercise increases the HDL or “good” cholesterol while decreasing the LDL or “bad” cholesterol.

  2. Exercise helps maintain normal blood pressure. Aerobic exercise makes the heart stronger and more efficient.

  3. Exercise improves the body’s ability to regulate blood sugar reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes.

  4. Strength training improves bone density and will help prevent osteoporosis.

  5. Exercise helps strengthen tendons, ligaments and joints.

  6. Exercise will help you maintain a healthy amount of body fat along with proper nutrition.

  7. Exercise, especially strength training increases your resting metabolic rate.

  8. Exercise will help improve balance and coordination.

  9. Flexibility training will help reduce lower back pain.

  10. Exercise will help in making activities of daily living more enjoyable.

Yours in health,

Brian
